How Regenerative Medicine Helps You

Orthobiologic medicine stimulates the body’s ability to heal itself. If you’re suffering from constant pain, our experts can boost your natural healing by growing and maturing cells. This type of treatment can improve your blood flow and promote soft cartilage growth with injections at the injury origin.

So how does it work? An orthobiologic expert will take a sample of concentrated cells from your blood. They will then administer an injection of these cells to release natural growth factors that recruit other types of cells to fill in the cracks.

Orthobiologic Medicine Therapy

If the orthobiologic expert determines you need more cells, they can treat you in a few different ways. In most cases, patients receive similar outcomes with the concentrated cell injection.

Cell Injections

This minimally invasive procedure involves extracting cells from your bone marrow or the layer of fat underneath your skin to treat tendon pain.

  • Bone marrow aspirate (BMA) are cells found in the bone marrow located in your pelvis.
  • Adipose derived cells (ADC) are fat cells found in your stomach.

PRP Injections

Plasma-rich platelets (PRP) is developed from your own blood. This type of injection contains a high concentration of proteins called growth factors that are very important in the healing of injuries.

  • PRP injections effectively speed up the healing of a variety of tendon issues and injuries.

Tissue Injections

A tissue injection gives the body a healing source to reduce inflammation, support tissue regrowth and avoid scar tissue from developing.

  • Placental tissue matrix (PTM) is donated human placental tissue used as an injection.
