One of the first decisions you’ll make as a new parent is how to feed your baby. Will you breastfeed, use formula or a combination of both? No matter how you choose to do it, we’re here to help.
Breastfeeding can be a learning process where you may need to give yourself and your baby time to adjust. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends mothers breastfeed:
- Exclusively for the first six months
- Combined with food until at least 24 months or older
Breastfeeding is a natural way to nourish your baby, and this method provides many health benefits for both mom and baby. But it can also come with challenges. The most important thing is that your baby is fed, loved and cared for.
